Mazuranic\u2019s work in Italy between texts and illustrations\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Ivana Brli\u0107 Ma\u017eurani\u0107&#8217;s <em>Croatian Tales of Long Ago<\/em> was translated into Italian only in 1957 by two different publishing houses: Marzocco in Florence and Saie in Turin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why were there two projects of translation?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The paper explains the editorial history of the translation into Italian between texts and illustrations. The editor Marzocco chose Umberto Urbani as translator and Carlo Galleni and Daniele Baffetti as illustrators. Saie chose Franjo Trograncic as translator and Giannina Lavarello as illustrator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">In 1957 two different editions of <em>Leggende croate<\/em> were available to Italian readers but Marzocco edition was a selection of the original text. Saie edition was fidelity to the book&#8217;s original structure.
